For Cyan ES, IT’s role within business has moved beyond a traditional mindset where technology drives business requirements and where leaders regard technology as a panacea. Rather, performance improvement in terms of process, technology and people characterises the firm’s business aligned approach.

In terms of this approach Cyan ES provides IT and business processing services to meet the needs of clients in the banking, short-term and life insurance industries. We concentrate on assisting customers in the financial services sector to attain specific goals: achieving efficiencies, reducing costs and eliminating potential operational problems. Within this niche sector we advise on strategy and solutions as well as design, build, implement, operate and maintain these solutions for our customers. And in place of adopting a one-size-fits-all methodology, we have developed a risk sharing proposition with an emphasis on solutions and value add: we manage customers’ operations within a proven stable environment so they are able to focus on their core business objectives.

As such our operating model comprises two elements: advisory and consulting services and operational services.

The advisory or consulting component, called Advisory and Solution Delivery (ASD) seeks to enhance effectiveness for clients, through solution transformation using proven methodologies and approaches, informed by experience and benchmarking studies.

The operational services offering, called Hosting and Outsource (H&O), focuses on the execution of application services and business process outsourcing services to achieve transactional efficiency. Our service in this regard relates to transactional or administrative processing for highly repetitive, core and non-core processes.

The operational management of solutions is the feature that differentiates our service offering. Typically services firms concentrate on the advice and execution phases of delivering solutions and/or projects. However, we aspire to go beyond the traditional roles by operating and managing the solutions that we or our customers have designed and built.
